Support deployment and assist with Workload Automation software installation and system setup.

Location: Woodbury, MN

Specific duties include:
  • Propose and implement the design for the Workload Automation solution.
  • Liaise with global teams including database administrators on a daily basis to address any design flaws in the Workload Automation Software implementation and apply patches on an as-needed basis.
  • Ensure that the Workload Automation Software environment remains functional on a daily basis.
  • Work with application teams to get production issues fixed.
  • Educate users on the need for migration to the new version of Workload Automation Software, the methodology involved in this migration, and the time it takes to migrate jobs for a specific application.
  • Train the application users with the new interface and provide support to resolve any issues.
  • Work with different cross-functional teams to help integrate Workload Automation Software with the various job monitoring solutions such as Netcool, so that users are alerted on the failure of production jobs.
  • Provide upgrade and migration plans
  • Architect High Level Designs of the Workload Automation Software environment and implement the design
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field and five years of progressive, post-Bachelor's experience in an information technology role. Occasional brief visits to client sites nationwide will be required. Experience must include:
  • Scheduling - Workload Automation Software
  • Scripting – Shell scripting, Batch programming, perl
  • Databases – Oracle, SQL Server
  • Operating systems – Linux, Unix and Windows
